Open Letter From Gary King

October 1, 1998

To all who have ears to hear:

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord.

I would hope that this letter finds you well and prospering in the truth that is in Jesus Christ.

I'm writing this letter in hopes that God would open your eyes to see that as long as you are in the Gospel Assembly Church fellowship around the world, you are in error. Your leaders are leading you into death and darkness.

Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Isaiah 9:16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Matthew 15:12-14 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? [13] But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. [14] Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Matthew 23:16-17 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! [17] Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
Matthew 23:19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Matthew 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

Paul and Barnabas tried to turn people but they refused the truth of the word of God so they turned from them to help those who wanted the truth.

Acts 13:44-48
And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. [45] But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. [46] Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
[47] For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. [48] And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Again, Paul tried to reason with Felix to save him but failed. Only God's mercy can open a person's eyes.

Acts 17:2
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Acts 18:4
And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
Acts 18:19
And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
Acts 24:25
And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
Isaiah 1:16-20
Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; [17] Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. [18] Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. [19] If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: [20] But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Matthew 11:25
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

It appears to me that men and women have been deceived into believing that they don't have to reason with the word of God.

2 Thess. 3:1-3 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: [2] And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. [3] But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

I have written letters and asked for council from men who should know the reason of things.

Job 13:6
Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
Job 32:8-12
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. [9] Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment. [10] Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion. [11] Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say. [12] Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
Eccles. 2:13
Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.
Eccles. 7:25
I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:

No one seems to want to reason or meet with us in Des Moines to reason through the situation that exists in the Des Moines assembly. Why? Are you afraid of the truth? What you don't face here, you will have to face at the great white throne judgment.

I would like nothing better than for ministers to come to Des Moines and meet with us and if we are wrong to show us the error of our ways or convince us of our sin.

John 8:40
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
John 8:45-46
And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. [46] Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Even Jesus asked people to do that with him. Since up to this time, there has been no sincere inquiry made to meet with us to try and work out everything, we must conclude that there never will be.

Before God and from my heart, I will still plead with souls locked into mystery Babylon, even though they don't know it.

Please consider what I have to say. Even if you don't consider it, my hands will be free from your blood in that day when God shall judge all men by his word. You will not be able to say that no one tried to help you or turn you from the error of your way.

James 5:19-20
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; [20] Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Acts 20:26
Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

It's just that you did not want to listen or think for yourselves but were willing to let others do your thinking for you. You just accepted their thoughts as gospel and never proved it out to see if it was true.

2 Tim. 2:17
And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

So, please come out of that fellowship and come into the fellowship of His son and reestablish your relationship to him and not man. For we are going to stand before the judgement seat of Christ and not man.

I hopefully await your reply and will still reason with any man, woman or child concerning anything they want to talk about.

Consider what I say and the Lord give you understanding in all things.

Again, awake thou that sleepest and arise from the dead and Christ shall give you light.
Ephes. 4:14-15
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; [15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephes. 5:13-16
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. [14] Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. [15] See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, [16] Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

The only way to grow up into Christ is to tell the truth about men who in Verse 14 use sleight of men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. Verse 15 shows to tell the truth in love that they may grow into him. If you don't start telling, the truth you will never grow up into him. I have exposed men and told the truth in love for I want to see you all saved and delivered from the snare of the devil.

2 Tim. 2:24-26
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, [25] In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; [26] And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

So that they may be brought back to serve the living God.

Incidentally the scripture "speak evil of no man" has been falsely used.

Titus 3:2
To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.

Paul in Titus 1:9-16 especially verse 12 calls men evil beasts? Was this not according to past teaching speaking evil of men? Ananias in Acts 9:10-15 tells Jesus in verse 13 how much evil Paul did to your people at Jerusalem and , he heard it from many. Paul was the talk of the city, because of the evil done to them by Paul. Jesus never reproved Ananias for it either, just told him to go his way. Again, Paul told Timothy in II Tim 4:14-15, even called his name, "Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil of whom be thou ware also." He even warned Timothy about him and said that the Lord will reward men for their evil done to the people of God as I have and will warn you about our former leaders who have hurt the people of God very badly. No! To speak evil of a man or woman means you make it up and it's not even true but it's bearing false witness. We have many witnesses that are true if you would care to listen to them. If not, you will have been warned.

Romans 16:17-18
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. [18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Col. 1:28
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
1 Thes. 5:14
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

My home is open to any who would come in peace. My phone is open to any who would call in peace.

I would request that this letter be read before all of the congregation of the people of God.

Sincerely,

Gary D. King
